Why it costs less

What you’re not paying for

Most of the cost of traditional hand surgery isn’t the surgery itself. It’s the building and the anesthesia around it. One study found a single trigger finger release cost the hospital about $3,300 more in the main operating room than in a procedure room (Maliha et al., 2019).

Insurance

Can I use my insurance?

Yes. We accept most major insurance plans for in-office surgery, so you avoid facility fees either way.

  • The prices on this page are cash prices. They don’t apply when we bill your insurance. What you owe then depends on your plan.
  • Some insurance plans don’t cover procedure supplies, so there may be an additional cost. Supplies range from $100 to $250.
Pricing questions

Cash price FAQ

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes. Surgery and office visits are qualified medical expenses, so you can pay with your HSA or FSA card.

What if I need more than one finger or procedure done?

When more than one procedure is done in the same visit, the first is charged in full and each additional procedure is 50% of its listed price. The Symptom & Cost Guide shows your combined total.

What if I need both hands done?

We usually do one hand at a time, so your other hand is free for heavier lifting while the first one heals. The other side can be done within a couple of weeks, as its own visit.

What if Dr. Jackson finds something different during surgery?

That’s rare after a careful exam. If your plan needs to change, we’ll talk with you about it.

Prices are for patients paying directly and apply to the procedures listed when done in our office. Your final plan and price are confirmed after your consultation. Procedures that need an operating room are priced separately. Prices may change. CPT codes are listed for reference only. CPT © American Medical Association.
